The idea behind the app came from Shelley’s frustration as a pharmacist, 

“about how much time I was spending on billing insurance companies which took away from the time I had available to help my patients. I wanted an easy way to access the needed information quickly and especially after the time the patients had already been waiting.  Working closely with the technicians I found that we all had the same issues and were wasting about 15 hours per month on the phone.  With the capability and convenience of app tech today, I knew that there had to be a better more efficient way to do things.  Since there is currently nothing available in the marketplace to assist pharmacists and technicians to bill efficiently, Rx Billing Genie was born.”

Shelley Morgan Pharm.D, RPh, BSc.

Dr Shelley Morgan graduated from the University of Western Ontario and then SUNY at Buffalo School of Pharmacy. After graduation she worked in a community Pharmacy in Niagara Falls, NY as well as at Chedoke-McMaster Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist to both the Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury programs. Now in her next phase of life, she is working as a community pharmacist in Oakville, Ontario where she is responsible for direct patient care, dispensing prescriptions and most relevant to Rx Billing Genie, submitting the patient’s prescriptions to their respective insurance companies on a daily basis.

Nicola Sancho-Persad

Nicola graduated from the Pharmacy Assistant Program in 2018. Her current position as a Pharmacy Assistant has offered her a direct applicable experience processing prescriptions and communicating with insurance companies.
